Thanks to author Louise Lyons for featuring an excerpt from Greg Kosebjorn’s “Squatchin’,” one of the stories in Myths, Moons, and Mayhem, on her blog earlier this week. It’s the story of a young gay couple who get more than they were bargaining for when they go out for a weekend of Bigfoot-hunting in the Pacific Northwest.

“I think it went this way,” Jason said, ducking under a low-hanging limb and disappearing into the brush.
Dan stumbled over a root and caught himself just before he could go sprawling across the forest floor in the thickening twilight. He loved Jason, but the guy could be a complete lout sometimes. “Wait up,” he called out. “You’re going too damn fast.” He caught sight of Jason’s dark blue jacket and red ball cap through the foliage and moved to follow. A small limb flew back and struck him sharply across the cheek. “Fuck!”
