Eddy LeFey over at Land of the Book Fairies reviewed Myths, Moons, and Mayhem earlier this week and immediately won me over with this tidbit:
Unlike some people, it seems, I enjoy a good short story, especially if it comes packaged with stories from multiple authors. Variety is the spice of life after all.
That right there is a reviewer after a short story writer’s heart. Even if Eddy had ended up trashing the book, I think I still would have swooned over the above snippet, because often short stories get trashed simply for being short.
But fortunately, Eddy didn’t trash the book. He liked some stories better than others, but found the writing strong throughout.
